Ok, so we wanted mythical tales of betrayal, fantasy and seduction - with stunning costumes, great cast, spectacular effects and preferably involving a giant flea. Something that would embrace the big screen – an epic film..

So we picked TALE OF TALES.  We didn't get a chance to screen this last year - Enjoy!

Selected for Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival, TALE OF TALES is an epic vision of cinema from Matteo Garrone (Gomorrah), inspired by the Italian fairy tales of medieval Naples.

From the bitter quest of a jealous Queen (Salma Hayek) who forfeits the life of her husband, to two mysterious sisters who provoke the passion of a King (Vincent Cassel), to a King obsessed with a giant Flea leading to heartbreak for his young daughter, these stories weave the beautiful with the grotesque, creating a stunning and unique work of gothic imagination.

★★★★★ "Fabulous in every sense: a freaky portmanteau film based on the folk myths collected and published by the 16th-century Neapolitan poet and scholar Giambattista Basile... It is gloriously mad, rigorously imagined, visually wonderful: erotic, hilarious and internally consistent. It immerses you in a complete created world"

Sound good?  It’s only on for two weeks, don’t’ miss it.
